Hi everyone -

I wanted to let you know that big things are happening on the food poetry anthology front. Submissions are officially closed, and we have received well over 700 submissions (final count TBD). We are still figuring out exactly what our project's final result will look like (i.e., number of poems, etc.), and while almost 500 of the submissions have been processed for double-blind judging, we still have more to process before they can be scored and evaluated. We are beginning the evaluation and selection process as we speak.

If you submitted work for our review, please be patient with us. We will notify every submitting author of the result of their submission as soon as we have information to provide. Of the three people running this project, none have had a particularly smooth time over the past eight months, and we're all doing our best to get this product out there as expeditiously as possibly and to ensure that it is the finest work we can possibly generate.

We still anticipate publishing sometime in the first half of 2022, and updates will be available here and on the Friendly City Books website as they become more concrete.

As always, questions and comments are welcome, in the comments here or by email to savorpoetry@gmail.com.
